Summary
Noteboo does not ask for your name, email or any account. Everything you write stays on your device.
What stays on your device
Your notes, pages, photos, amounts, dates, places and settings are stored locally, in the private area of your device that belongs to Noteboo alone. They are not uploaded anywhere and I cannot see them. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Permissions are asked for only when you use the feature that needs them, and refusing one leaves the rest of the app working: the camera and your photo library when you attach a photo, notifications when you set a reminder, Face ID if you turn on Lock. Location is never requested — the map you get when adding a place can be browsed and searched, but you are not located or tracked.
What is collected
- Nothing personally identifying. No name, email, phone number or account. There is no server to send them to.
- Crash and performance data may be shared by Apple if you have enabled analytics sharing in iOS Settings. This is anonymous and I see it only in aggregate.
Third parties
Noteboo contains no analytics tool, ad network or tracking kit, and no third-party SDK of any kind. Only Apple's own services are ever involved:
- Apple Maps — if you search for a place while adding one to a note, what you type is sent to Apple and Apple's privacy policy applies. If you don't search, nothing is sent.
- App Store — if the app asks you to rate it, Apple's own prompt does the asking, and I do not see your answer.
- Device backup — if iCloud Backup or a computer backup is switched on, Noteboo's data goes into it along with every other app's. That backup is between you and Apple; it is encrypted and I have no access to it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them — or from anyone else.
Your choices
Because nothing is collected on a server, there is no account to delete and no data to export. Delete a note, a page, or the app itself; no copy is left with me, because there never was one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. If a future version ever collects something — cloud sync, say — this page is updated before that version ships.
